The weather change was quite sudden, Sunday it was sunny and then Monday there was thunder and rain. It's raining today as well, perfect weather for a good book or a good movie :-)

Indoors

This weekend we all got sick, one nasty virus and pretty much everybody in the house was bedridden... One thing that cheered me up where these koromilia blooming branches :-)

Still I have a project in mind, I like these lavender sachets and I'm thinking of making something similar but with more embroidery on it! Let's see if I'll manage to get back in a creative mood soon!

It's been a gloomy day, raining non stop from the morning...
Yesterday Terry Pratchett passed away, an author whose books made me feel pure joy and giggle uncontrollably. I wish I could recommend just one book, I suggest starting from the beginning and working your way into the magnificent universe he created!

Happy September

We took a short holiday break in August, staying at our village. It was nice seeing all the kitties and dogs my uncle has :-)

Cherries

Theses cherries are called petrokerasa, they aren't as sweet as normal cherries but they are just as yummy! Another plus is that they are not store bought, my mom brought them back from our village.

A flowery post

I'm not a big fan of summer and one of the reasons is that pretty much everything withers under the glaring sunlight. Already there are only a few flowers in bloom but I guess that's what spring is for and not summer :-)
The last photo is from our pomegranate tree, most of its flowers are already starting to become tiny pomegranates!

Yellow hills

We are back home :-)

Some photos from our little trip:
The hills were covered in yellow! These yellow wildflowers had bloomed everywhere around us, they smelled absolutely divine and colored all the hillsides yellow.

We went hunting for wild asparagus, they are quite smaller from the cultivated ones and very hard to gather as they tend to grow on steep hills or between thorn bushes.

My uncle's dog, we kept calling her Lucy though her name is Lulu. Still she would come waging her tail, a very very friendly dog :-)

On the road

We were traveling yesterday, some photos from the car ride, it rained almost the entire day! Today we are making tsourekia and painting our Easter eggs :-)
