Apple bookmark

felt apple bookmark

personalized ribbon bookmark

There's something about apples that makes them go perfectly with books! So I made an apple bookmark, with ribbon and felt, this way you can mark your page with fruity fun! Oh and it's personalized too, with your initial :-)
Find it in the shop, in the bookmarks section!

Have a lovely weekend,
Aleka
p.s what do you think about our packaging? We are wrapping all our bookmarks this way with fun different bookish quotes!

For bookworms

panda and penguin bookmark

felt panda bookmark

felt penguin bookmark

Hi there,
I am a huge bookworm and a fan of all things cute! So when I first thought of a line of paper clip bookmarks with felt animals I loved the idea. I begun making them, through trial and error I narrowed down the design, I used jumbo paper clips so that the felt animal really stood out and then I made my first ones. I have to say I'm very happy with the way they turned out! The panda and penguin bookmarks are already in the shop in the felt bookmarks section, I'm hoping to add more designs soon

I used some of my favorite books to photograph my new bookmarks they are Sue Townsend's "The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13¾" and Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events", I definitely recommend them.

Happy reading everyone,
Aleka

Books and bookmarks

Hi there!
Lately I've been reading a lot of e-books, it's easy finding classic works on line and the fact that I can read them for free is an extra bonus. I've read quite a few classics, some I loved (like Elizabeth Gaskell's "North & South" and "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte) and others I didn't (the "Phantom of the opera" was a huge disappointment). But even though e-books have a lot of pros they have a couple of disadvantages: it really takes something away from the reading experience not having an actual book in your hands, flipping through pages, using cute bookmarks (handmade by me!) and marveling at the cool cover design!
Still the fact that I can read a book for free gives me the opportunity to see if and how much I like it and then invest in buying an actual book.
Happy reading bookworms :-)

Summer is the best time for reading, and as a bookworm I have a box filled with bookmarks, many are from bookshops but some of them are handmade by me! Like this corner heart bookmark, it's the one I've been using lately as it's so easy to use and looks really cute when the book is closed too :-)
Wishing you a lovely week,
Aleka

This and that

My creative space has been a hallway these past couple of days. Taping doors and switches and then painting with a brush and a roller. My hand hurts, my back aches and we still have one more coat of paint to do. {sigh}
In an attempt to do something more creative I decided to take a little break and make some more bookmarks. We'll be attending a craft fair in December so I'm thinking I should begin to prepare for that. Now that the bookmarks are printed and drawn they need to go to the copy shop and be laminated, cut each one and then I'll punch a hole and tie a pretty ribbon.
I'm off to some much deserved rest but you can see more creative spaces right here!
xoxo
