A flowery post

I'm not a big fan of summer and one of the reasons is that pretty much everything withers under the glaring sunlight. Already there are only a few flowers in bloom but I guess that's what spring is for and not summer :-)
The last photo is from our pomegranate tree, most of its flowers are already starting to become tiny pomegranates!

Yellow hills

We are back home :-)

Some photos from our little trip:
The hills were covered in yellow! These yellow wildflowers had bloomed everywhere around us, they smelled absolutely divine and colored all the hillsides yellow.

We went hunting for wild asparagus, they are quite smaller from the cultivated ones and very hard to gather as they tend to grow on steep hills or between thorn bushes.

My uncle's dog, we kept calling her Lucy though her name is Lulu. Still she would come waging her tail, a very very friendly dog :-)

Bougainvillea

It's hot, hot, hot! I spent an hour photographing a few new things and really worked up such a sweat and feel so exhausted now.
Can you guess I'm not a summer loving girl?

Pretty pink bougainvillea growing, I like how some flowers are a pale pink while others a deep burgundy :-)

Watched Jane Eyre last night, I knew I would like it and I wasn't disappointed.
There's something about a good english period film that appeals to me, pretty much like the books do.

Cyclamen

When the first leaves started sprouting I was quite surprised, they were in a small flower pot that I hadn't planted anything. And we've had only red cyclamen and only white cyclamen flower pots but never such a color, so with nature's powers I guess now we have these pinkish flowers blooming :-)
We're also working on a sea inspired project, hope to post some photos over the weekend.

Hey there

Happy mother's day to all!
We helped the kid pick up flowers and make a card for his mom, he wrote inside how much he loves her, sweet right :-)

Happy May 1st

Happy May 1st! Hope you enjoyed the day, it's almost like summer today :-)
We made our flower wreath, had a barbeque and then I spend the rest of the day resting, great way to start the month right?
I've got a bit of work for the next few days do I really needed today's break.
Saw this cute cartoon story with a heroic octopus, so sweet :-)

I am in a spring mood, all the blooming flowers and the sunlight are to blame! Hopefully I will get my concentration back and maybe do some work, because right now I just want to find a sunny spot and sit there gathering rays :-)

Monday moodboard - Fresh

The weather is back again to it's usual moodiness, it's been raining all morning and my plans for photographing some new things are rescheduled. A few picks from the european team in green and yellow, fresh colors that make me think of spring and sunny days. The freesias watercolor reminds me of my freesias, I have three flower pots planted and they have sprouted but it will need at least another couple of months before they bloom. I can't wait to see the result, each year I plant the bulbs of various colors without knowing what the end result will be, the pots end up so wonderfully colorful!

Monday moodboard - Spring

After these last two weeks of extreme cold and lots of rain this morning the sun was shining, and it feels as spring is just around the corner. The political situation in my country has been very fitting with the bad weather, watching the news lately just depresses me so I thought a fun, colorful moodboard might help me cheer up and remind me and everyone else after winter comes spring and hope :-)

Flower Tags

Can you tell I'm really missing spring and its flowers? I made these gift tags from thick backing board, I started by cutting two different sized circles. Then painted their back side and stamped it but you could just write a little message, that would be pretty cute too! From the graphics fairy I used two flower prints (1 - 2), I actually fitted four flower graphics in one page then just used two of them. I glued the circles in random places of the flower prints, on the unpainted side of the cardboard then cut of the excess. Punched a hole with the cropadile thingy, tied the pink/red thread and they are perfect for my little gift bags.

Now I have two remaining flower prints, I'm thinking of making something with them too, just haven't decided what that will be yet :-)

May is here

The first day of May is celebrated here in Greece. We make a flowery wreath and hang it on our front door, where it will stay until the end of the month!
