Saturday at the beach

This sunny Saturday we spent the morning at the beach. Things we saw: a sail boat far away, a broken sea urchin shell, a sea snail (is this what they are called?) and a little graveyard of tiny shells, honestly there where so many of them!
And of course with us the boy who won't sit still for a photo, my nephew :-)

My memories of childhood vacations on various seaside locations are filled with the many hours of the day I used to spent at the beach. Swimming, playing with the sand and of course collecting beautiful sea treasures. Sea stones with unique lines, colors and shapes, sea shells, big and small and glass pieces turned smooth from the ocean waves. 

So today's moodboard is filled with the all these things you can find on a beach, being used very creatively by other team members :-)

Monday Moodboard - In the sea

I'm staying indoors, seems like the only way to keep cool. Every time I open a window and go outside this giant wave of heat hits me. Summer in Greece is no fun for me, I can't stand the intense heat, the intensity of the sun. So here's were I wish I was: diving deep into the cool sea. Fish are so lucky right?

Hoping the new week will spare us and drop a few degrees,

Monday moodboard - A boat ride

Yesterday we went on a little trip and it included an amazing boat ride under the Isthmus bridge, what we call the Corinth canal. It was really beautiful, I think I took about 150 photos of the 1 hour long boat ride. We started from a point in the one end of the canal and went out to sea where the boat made a turn and entered the canal to cross it for the first time, then we came out to sea from the other end where it made another turn and went and crossed it again so that we could go back to where we started. It was pretty awesome and I do love boat rides so much, we were also very lucky because the weather was great, sunny but not too warm.

The trip also included a visit to the ancient city of Corinth and it's museum, I really enjoyed going there as well but what I did miss was going to the Acrocorinth castle, by that time the weather had changed completely and it was raining heavily. I was really bummed, going to that castle has been in my wish list for a long time, it's on the top of a big mountain and the view must be amazing. Well, I can make plans for another trip, now that I came that close I just want it more :-)

All in all I took around 300 photos, when I get around to editing them I'll definitely post some.

Along the beach

I took a long walk along the beach today, the weather forecast for the next few days is rainy so I'll probably won't be able to go on my daily walk. There weren't many people around, it was pretty windy, with heavy clouds but the sun came out for a few minutes. I only had my pocket camera and took a few photos, I'm hoping to go soon with the big camera so I can take some more!
